Precision Sports Statistics Inc announces its 2002 March Madness NCAA Challenge is here.

What is Our March Madness Challenge

Precision Sports Statistics Inc's March Madness Challenge is a free contest open to both customers and other interested parties. Before the tipoff of the first NCAA college basketball tournament, each participants goes to the Entry Form and makes their predictions for all 63 games of the tournament. Points are awarded for each correct prediction, and point values are based on round and seed. Similar to many other NCAA contests, games become more important as each round of the tournament progresses. Second round games are worth twice as much as first round games, third round games are worth twice as much as second round games, etc. But unlike most other NCAA contests, ours is weighted by the seed of each team. What this means a #4-seeded team winning a game is worth twice as much as a #2-seeded team winning a game (in the same round), and only half as much as a #8-seeded team winning a game (also in the same round). By including the seed # in the weighting of each game, more games (including those first round 8 vs. 9 matchups) become more important in the final outcome. At the end of NCAA tournament, merchandise prizes will be awarded to the entrants with the highest point totals. Please thank our sponsors by visiting their websites.
